What, if fixed, would have the greatest effect on the riddance of our nation's current state of turmoil?

How about educating our 9 Supreme Court Justices in how to be, truly, the most highly objective interpreters of law that the nation has, as they are supposed to be? How about teaching them that the 14th Amendment is not their blank check to strike down laws they don't like?
