Why won't my girlfriend officially leave her ex?

"she has yet to come clean with her parents or even let them know I exist. They love the guy she is "with" and she's afraid of what they will think if she leaves him."...If she is so concerned about the opinions of her family that she would continue a sham of a marriage, then she likely won't make a choice until she is forced. And even then it might well be easier for her to maintain things as they are rather than choose you. Sorry. I really am. This sucks. But I do not see this working out well for you. This isn't even about the husband. It's about her. She can't stand up and be an adult; and she may never. Where does that put you?
