First of all, you shouldn't talk about your mom that way. And if she says no about a piercing, get over it. You should tell her about the neighbors complaints about the security door and maybe she will make you a copy of that key and can just leave your apartment door unlocked. If she says no again, ask one of your neighbors who complains to make a copy for you.
